SUPPLIES FOR ROPE BOWL CLASS 1

We will be making 2 rope bowls in class. A plain small one and a larger wrapped one

1) Koch industries 7/32" cotton clothesline 200 ft, # 5620727 (this will be enough to make one large bowl and one smaller bowl. Please roll it into a ball like you would do yarn and bring a plastic bowl big enough to put it in so it does not roll around the floor.
2) Aleene's Stiffen Quick

3) Aleene's Original Tacky Glue.

Sewing machine with a zig-zag foot, zig-zag stitch and a zig-zag throat plate.
Flat surface on your sewing machine or an extension table.
You will need about 1/4 yd of accent fabric cut into 1-inch. These strips should be cut the width of the fabric (40-42 inches)
Flat head straight pins
Wonder clips
2 Scissors- One to clip thread and one to clip the rope.
Extra Sewing needles, 90’s or Jean needles
A 12-inch ruler
Any beads, buttons, or trim you might like to use on your basket. I would start with a button that coordinates with your rope and or material.
Thread to match rope and material for accents. If you want to do colored thread to accent you are welcome to bring it.
Bobbins with thread to match rope and material. I suggested having several bobbins already wound so you do not have to stop and wind bobbins. We will be using lots of thread/bobbins.

We will be taking a break for lunch, we suggest you pack a light meal. The break will probably be a 1/2 hour so we can get both bowls finished.
